Bought isn't a homophone for boat in any accent - certainly not Yorkshire or lancashire. Just awful, or as we like to call it: cheating

Bought and boat are not homonyms in many accents. I’m from Manchester and I wouldn’t say them the same - maybe the person who wrote this is from Yorkshire or further north in Lancashire
