I got two correct...and yes... memory and island should be good enough (instead of ___island, etc.

Apart from the memory group, this is just ludicrously obscure.
Writing a hard grid is easy - just fill it with completely obscure stuff. A GOOD, hard grid, on the other hand should be one where, after they have finished, the player says to himself, "yes- I should have seen that".
I also echo the comments re memory and island: those ought to be enough, without the preceding dash.
