An interesting idea, but combining the gimmick of removing vowels with clues that aren't actual words when you add letters back in ("ballfight"), or require specific knowledge (like "mansland") backfire because its impossible to decipher what the words would be with vowels if you've never heard of it.

Agreed. Pick one of these ideas or the other.

I have to agree which is a real shame cos you obviously put a lot of effort into this- however I must say thanks for trying to be original because I do love the varied format grids. It was brave to attempt this, do keep trying new formats please!
