I'm confused by the 'French' group; only one of those words is in French.

I don't think the ABBA clue worked. When there are four single-letter answers, the stick out like a sore thumb. When you've primed people to think about Abba songs, it's just too easy.

Honey Honey, Dancing Queen, Knowing Me Knowing You, and Waterloo are songs by Abba.
