those aren't synonyms and the american singers one was nuts

No they are not synonyms - not sure what they are. Be helpful if you told us who these singers were.

1. Synonyms are one word, not two.
2. I think I can spot the singers - one song three of them sung would be 'We Can't Talk Anymore', '212' (song) and 'Roar'. The other one could be a band which consists of the members with the surname.
