Would have been a great grid, but I really don't think 'impairs' works as a synonym for 'mars'. To impair something is to stop it from working properly, whereas to mar something is to spoil its look or feel.

To be fair, impair is listed as a synonym for “mar” in every thesaurus I’ve seen, so you might want to take it up with the thesaurus writers!
